"Dear Reader,
Growing up in the 40’s and 50’s was really a challenge and a great time to be alive. Inventions were running rampant and new electrical appliances were making life easier for our families. Our parents still did not have time to do anything for themselves but help their families survive. The world was changing and wars were still being fought.
Everyone had to pitch in and do their part. The children’s part was getting an education, helping out with the chores, and entertaining ourselves. Because of the war, there was a lack of materials for toys, so we had some great opportunities to be really creative.
As far back as I can remember I’ve always wanted to discover what God had in mind for me and do my very best at it. I knew one day I may have to make a living somehow because every girl didn’t necessarily get married, and I figured I just might fit into that category. I just wanted to do my part and contribute something worthwhile to this world, so this is the story of some of those adventures while I was growing up and trying to put my life together.
